This species was found in neat clumps at “Far Point” but also along the shingle ridge. Due to the scented smell when crushed between fingers I could rule out Scentless Mayweed, T. inodorum and confirm it as Sea Mayweed, Tripleurospermum maritimum:
This species can biennial to perennial and grows erect and procumbent up to 60cm (Stace 2010). The flowers are conspicuous and as members of the Asteraceae family, have a disk floret (in this case yellow) with adjoining ray florets (white petals):
Leaves are deeply pinnafid. Leaf segments succulent , obtuse to rounded at apex (Stace 2010):
